Celebrating International Coffee Day
Although we think of every day as a coffee day, Sunday 1st October is the official International Coffee Day – and we thought we’d better mark it in style!
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve managed to get our hands on 60kg of the much sought after Australian Skybury coffee, grown on the Skybury estate in northern Queensland. In fact, we’re now the proud owners of 0.1% of the total world supply of the beans!
Our roaster, Mystaria, has been put to work since the bags arrived and we’ve now created our limited edition ‘Skybury Symphony’. It’s an Arabica coffee, roasted to medium-dark with enhanced chocolate tones, and a hint of fruit and almond. As Joe Mangel would say, ‘it’s a little ripper’!
We don’t want to keep it to ourselves though! To celebrate International Coffee Day here at the Orkney Roastery, we are giving away our first roast’s worth of bags to twelve lucky winners. To enter all you have to do is visit our Facebook page, like our post and comment ‘Skybury’.
If you’re not one of the lucky winners, don’t despair! You can still grab a bag of ‘Skybury Symphony’ from our online shop after 12th October .
